1/31/2005 10:05:00 AM|W|P|Starflier|W|P|So yeah, I had my birthday the other day. I turned sixteen. *sigh* Anyhoo, is was a good enough birthday. My mom had been kinda upset because she didn't plan a huge event, (like her parents did on her sixteenth, they invited over fifty people. Ugh!) but I had just wanted it to be quiet and relaxed, which is how it turned out. I figgered I might as well try and look as close to my actual age as possible, so I shaved my three inch beard down to mutton chops.(so now I look 23 instead of 35)(and I look like an Irish police officer or somth'n) I got to watch "Sky Captain" (sweet movie) and I got to read a fair portion of "around the World in Eighty Days" (sweet book) and play up to the robot village in "The Island of Doctor Brain." (sweet game) Then we had the family over (and my one friend who wouldn't be weirded out) and had spaghetti, lazania, a chocolate fondue and cinnamon rolls. (not all at once) I got a shwackload of gift cards and a wallet. All and all a good birthday. So I think our family is becoming more cultured as time goes on, I mean, I actually was admonished for using "Who" instaid of "Whom" not too long ago. But that's not all. My sister's in ballet, me and my kid brother (that was on pourpose grammeratically incorrect) are learning to fence (like, with swords) and my littlest brother has taken a liking to classical music. (one has not lived until they have seen a two-and-a-bit year-old "booggie down" to Bethoven) On the other hand I don't see what's so great about being cultured, I mean lookit what it does to milk.
