I'm talking about the term "fo shizzle ma nizzle". I'm sure that quite a few people are wondering exactly what it means. Logical guesses don't get you anywhere with this, they didn't help me. Turns out that it's an altered form of "fo' sheezy mah neezy" which comes from "for sure mah nigga" which means "I agree with you completely my African American brother".
Thanks to Fox on the CK Forum for clearing that up.|W|P|107803097391689980|W|P||W|P|starflier@gmail.com2/19/2004 09:12:00 PM|W|P|Starflier|W|P|Ok, just recently I was thinking about some over generalized statements I've made in my life. One that came up was that I used to claim that I hated Japanese cartoons. My reasons? Well for one, they are so saturated with mysticism. Ok, fair enough, but you might as well lump a great deal of western cartoons for that matter. I think, also that I disliked them because my experience with magna has been limited to the garbage they play on YTV. Now I've talked online with some pretty hardcore magna freaks, and they tend to agree with me that Digimon and Monster Ranchers suck. Therefore just because you had a bad experience with an art style, doesn't put you in a position to judge anyone who draws it.
I think a lot of people feel the same way about Christianity that I used to feel about anime. They had a bad experience with a bunch of people who tried to make them fit into a stupid mold. And so now they'd rather clean up after a herd of cattle than go into a church. But what they miss is that Christianity isn't about fitting into a stupid mold, it's about breaking out of one, the one that our self-serving society has them crammed into.
Now just because I'm not a wholesale hater of anime anymore doesn't mean I don't still have problems with it. Not the art style itself, but what some people do with it. It's the same with Christianity. A lot of Christians use it as a way to feel superior to all the guys who spend Sunday in a bar. But not all of them, I know of a pastor who holds his service in a bar. That's what I mean about breaking out of the mold. Before you go talking about self-serving hypocrites, think of the mission workers abroad, working to strengthen communities, skirting and sometimes breaking the law in order to spread the gospel. What about them?

It was raining, and as I walked past the social services building, I saw that the gutters seriously needed cleaning. There was a formidable waterfall coming from the roof. My first reaction was that I wanted to run through it. In fact, if I hadn't been carrying $50 worth of art supplies in my backpack I probably would have...
That's all. What? You wanted a moral or something?|W|P|107705693288780777|W|P||W|P|starflier@gmail.com
